It is
agreed between Seller and Buyer as follows:
1. DESCRIPTION OF DOG

2.SELLER'S
REPRESENTATIONS
The
following representations and conditions
apply to the sale of the aforementioned
dog:
-
As of the date of this agreement,
the dog is in good health and free
of communicable diseases.
-
The Buyer has 72 hours to have dog
examined by a veterinarian and to
personally inspect the dog. Any
claims must be made within this
time period and will be verified by
Seller's own veterinarian.
-
Buyer is completely satisfied with
and waives any and all claims
regarding the dog's conformation,
and outward appearance (meaning the
dog meets the breed standard at
this age).
-
Buyer agrees upon purchase of the
puppy that the Dog will be
registered with the following
name:_____________________________________________

3. CONSIDERATION
This
dog, identified in Section 1, is being
sold for the sum of $_____________, to
be paid in full on D_____M_____Y____
4. STIPULATIONS
This
dog or bitch has been graded to be PET /
WORKING quality (Schutzhund, AKC, SAR,
Obedience, Police.)
-
All puppies will be sold on an AKC
Limited registration. Seller agrees
to lift the Limited Registration
upon proof from the purchaser that
the following obligations have been
met:
(1) OFA certificate
(2) minimum SchH1 title.
-
Bitches shall be bred no more than
every other heat cycle or no more
than one back to back breeding with
a one year rest period before being
bred again and ONLY after the age
of two years.
-
If PET quality, Buyer agrees that
seller will register said dog or
bitch on a AKC Non Breeding
Contract. This non-breeding
registration will be held by Seller
until veterinarian verification of
spay or neuter is received.
-
Any other arrangements may only be
made with the Seller's written
consent.
-
If buyer chooses to sell dog/bitch
or otherwise place him elsewhere,
Seller gets first chance to
re-acquire dog/bitch according to
terms agreed to by buyer and seller
at that time.
5. LIMITATIONS OF
CONTRACT
This
contract applies to the original puppy
only and is non transferable to a second
party. No replacement puppy will be
given if the male or female has been
bred, neutered or spayed. Buyer is
responsible for transportation costs to
and from GermanShepherdSportDogs.com on
original and replacement puppy.
6. HIP GUARANTEE
The
pups hips must be x-rayed before 1 year
of age by a veterinarian certified and
skilled at producing hip x-rays for OFA
evaluation. These x-rays must be
submitted to OFA for evaluation
The pup is guaranteed by the breeder to
certify in preliminary OFA x-rays as
being Excellent, Good, or Fair. If
the pup is not rated Excellent, Good or
Fair, and therefore is dysplastic, the
buyer can choose from the following
options:
-
Return the pup, and receive a
replacement pup from the next
available litter, not necessarily
of the same breeding
-
Keep the pup, and receive 1/2 off
the purchase price of a replacement
pup. Breeder requires proof of spay
or neuter of the dysplastic pup
before honoring guarantee.
-
Keep the pup, and receive 1/2 of
the original purchase price back.
Breeder required proof of spay or
neuter before honoring guarantee.
The
breeder will only guarantee genetic hip
dysplasia. Genetic hip dysplasia will
show up in the pup before 1 year of age.
Later development of hip dysplasia is
not guaranteed, as this is often
environmentally produced. Young dogs or
pups involved in fast running, exercise
on hard unyielding surfaces, climbing
flights of stairs, jumping over or up on
things, can develop hip dysplasia. Also
obesity, as well as poor nutrition can
cause this problem. Abuse, injuries and
neglect are other causes. Any evidence
of obesity, nutritional deficiency,
injury, abuse, or premature stress on
the joints due to jumping or climbing
will nullify the hip guarantee.
The breeder will honor
the same guarantee for elbows.
7. TESTICLE GUARANTEE
If the
male pup does not have both testicles
down by the age of 6 months, the buyer
can choose from the following options:
-
Return the pup and receive a
replacement pup from the next
available litter, not necessarily
from the same breeding.
-
Keep the pup, and receive 1/3 off
the price of a replacement pup of
similar value from the next
available litter, with proof of
neuter.
-
Keep the pup, and receive 1/3 of
the price of the original pup back.
8. MAINTENANCE
-
Buyer agrees to maintain this dog
in good health, provide routine
preventative health care including,
but not limited to , inoculation,
internal and external parasites,
and - where indicated - heartworm
preventative medication.
-
Buyer further agrees to provide
proper exercise as indicated in
order to maintain this dog or bitch
in proper weight and physical
condition. A proper diet consists
of top-quality dog food and
supplements. Vitamin E is an
acceptable preservative.
-
Buyer agrees that this dog or bitch
is NOT to be LEFT IN A BACKYARD OR
KENNEL ONLY. This dog or bitch is
sold with the understanding that it
was to go to carefully selected
parties and that Buyer AVOWED the
dog or bitch would become a member
of the family. (This is to assure
proper development and maintenance
of the temperament for which the
animal was bred.)
-
Buyer agrees to provide Seller with
Photographs suitable for
advertising and photocopies of all
awards and critiques along with the
judge(s) name(s) and the Club
sponsoring the show. Buyer also
agrees that Seller may use the
photographs and any particulars of
qualifying awards in any future
advertising.
-
Buyer agrees Seller will REPOSSESS
DOG OR BITCH UPON EVIDENCE OF
NEGLECT AND/OR ABUSE at no expense
to the seller.
-
And finally...Buyer agrees that
he/she understands this contract
fully, and that this contract is
under the jurisdiction of the State
of ________________, in the county
of _________________. It is agreed
